About Melissa Mabe
Melissa Marcott Mabe is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in the industry. The recipient of numerous accolades and considerable recognition from peers and colleagues, she headed a prominent Colorado-based architectural firm for a time, overseeing several successful projects and managing the company’s operations.
A driving force in the Colorado architectural scene, she was also a figure of inspiration to women professionals. Combining outstanding technical ability and extraordinary leadership skills with drive, innovation, and a forward-looking approach, she achieved a respected position among architectural professionals.
After many years as an architect, Melissa Mabe decided it was time for a change. She then took the courageous step of becoming a lavender farmer, approaching this new pursuit with the same focus, drive, and determination that she employed throughout her architectural career.
Melissa attended the University of Colorado where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She later earned a Master’s degree in Architecture.
As a business administration major, Melissa developed several valuable skills and proficiencies that would serve her well in her later career. She quickly found that she had an innate ability for analytical thinking, leadership, and financial management, all of which allowed her to excel in her coursework.
